Delivering Value Through Sustainability

Through our Repair Service, PPS we were able to add outstanding value to the operations of Stafford Bye Products.

Stafford Bye Products (SBP) is a division of the Shropshire Wholesale Meat Company which specialises in meat processing and distribution. Due to the demanding nature of the commercial meat industry, the equipment SBP utilise throughout their day-to-day operations can occasionally be susceptible to damage – as is standard with any frequently used equipment in demanding environments.

As such, SBP wanted to reduce the expenditure associated with replacing damaged dolavs within their dolav pool and thus increase both profitability and sustainability.

In order to do this, SBP contacted PPS in the hopes of finding a solution.

After an in-depth assessment by an in-house specialist, PPS were able to recommend our Repair Services as a viable solution. Due to the nature of the damage within SBP’s dolav pool, it was deemed that their damaged equipment was largely repairable, a far more cost-effective solution than completely replacing the affected dolavs with new equipment.

The well-designed plan and well-implemented delivery resulted in the repair project being completed as a huge success.

This is illustrated objectively in a few remarkable statistics. As a result of the project, SBP experienced:

  • An 87% reduction in waste from damaged equipment
  • A cost-saving of over £90,000 (so far) directly stemming from the repairs
  • A measurable improvement in SBP’s overall sustainability and profitability
